Very cool! It is a google maps hack that shows cell towers. Here are the towers near my office.

Cell Phone Towers - Stafford, TX

60,000 dollars seems like such a little amount to capture a piece of one's childhood forever. Then again, for 60,000 dollars I could do a heck of alot of childish activities...

Sci-Fi Friday, or Baby?

Thank goodness I have a Tivo! Without it, I would be scrambling and would be very nervous about my odds of catching the season premiers of Battlestar Galactica and Stargate: Atlantis tonight (not that they won't be replayed for the next several months).

Why am I nervous? Well, we are still awaiting the arrival of the baby, which is proceed by labor. My mobile phone is very, very close.

Free Pizza Removed...

Due to fear that the free pizza coupon was a fake, especially since Pizza Hut is owned by a larger organization and you cannot directly purchase stock for Pizza Hut, I have removed the link... Sorry for the excitement.

Gizmo...Gonzo!?

B is for Beta, or in Gizmo's case B is for BAD.

After a little over a week of Gizmo, it is time to end the experiment. Though I only tested the actual voip one night with Brandi in the same room on the same wireless network the quality was on par with Skype, but the directory of users is not ready for prime time. The first attempt never rang her Gizmo and the second took 16 seconds to figure out she was in the same room. Obviously, NAT could be to blame, but other VOIP don't suffer from this shortcoming.

Other issues revolve around frustrations with auto updates and starting Gizmos. It has become an unwelcomed part of my RUN area of the registry.

I have come to expect more from beta and withj an email touting Gizmo by Michael Robertson (Linspire) I thought Gizmo would be a great tool.

G is for Gizmo,  but for now. G is for Gonzo!

Free SkypeOut

Free SkypeOut Days

Not that with free long distance on mobile phones and with our vonage does this really matter... I guess if we knew anyone abroad that would be nice, not that 10 minutes is really a lot of time.

I will though probably try it to see the quality.

Free Skype information was provided courtesy of digg and check out the diggnation (dig podcast)

Sith Sense...

Not nearly as cool as subservient chicken, but 20 questions with Darth Vadar is a neat concept. Of course my first try with the object, Milkshake, broke the site... How do you answer would you give it as a gift?

The second time around he couldn't get it...Huh!
