Late Night...Star Wars!

Not since Empire Strikes Back with my dad have I stayed out so late to watch a Star Wars movie. Though I was not one of those represented in the 16.5 million dollars of the Midnight Show, I did venture out at 10.30 PM (thanks to my class) to see thefinal episode in the saga that shaped my childhood.

Does that mean my childhood is officiallyover? Well, it probably should have been years ago, but in reality I doubt that Revenge of the Sith really is the end. I will still have the months of watching it in the theater (probably at least 2 more times) and then the DVD. The question is can I manage to buy any toys without looking silly?

This is a very cool program! I love my command prompt and now I can have it with my computer and it travels with me! I have only had it since this morning so no issues yet, but you might want to wait a few more days before downloading it yourself.

Well, even though the Internet has made the world a smaller place, it appears that WalMart couldn't enter this community and take over like it has in so many other places.

As for Netflix, I loved the service as a single, but Brandi and I don't watch movies that often anymore.

Star Wars is the new "Fahrenheit 9/11"? George has been pretty good at keeping direct political commentary away from his work, but I guess eventually everything comes to light. I don't think this will effect my viewing plans for Thursday, but it is always interesting to see how the US is one step away from a dictatorship. I guess all that remains is a upstart liberal to kill (politically of course) Dick Cheney and replace him as the VP of the Empire of the US.

Firefox & Greasemonkey...Oh, crap!

Once again thanks to Eric Larson (of emlarson) for pointing out a mistake or error in my judgement. According to Eric and eWeek there is a new security hole in Firefox that makes it unsafe to install extensions (like greasemonkey) and to run javascripts (like greasemonkey does). So don't use Greasemonkey as I mention below. And though I didn't imply it, don't use Firefox, because it is more secure then IE. Firefox like IE has security issues and the more people that use it give more reason to find and exploit these issues.

When the dust settles or if you are adventours and feel comfortable trying it anyway...

Ok, if you aren't using Firefox for your Internet browsing yet, my question is why?

If you need another reason, here you go greasemonkey . With the greasemonkey extension for Firefox you can run DHTML (scripts) on other web sites. The coolest one I have seen so far, but I just started looking was the Amazon price comparassion from book burro:
