OSX

Well, finally after months of thinking, hoping and wondering I finally had a chance to run OS X.

How? Well, lets just say that many of my friends on the World Wide Web made it possible.

Was it a life changing event? No, for the trouble to get it to run and the performance I got from my PC running it though in a virtual machine (oops I might have given away how I got it...). I won't be making any investments to run it in the future. Though I could try it as my primary operating system (or dual boot OS). I don't think I will continue to wade through the endless guides and torrents to get the pieces in hope of getting the software to run.

I believe in try before you buy and I have tried and at this point I will merely wait to see if Apple modifies its strategy for the future of Mactel (Mac on Intel) to include a OS that can be installed on any hardware platform.

Though many tech pundits believe this will happen and that the recent leak of tiger Intel was a foreshadowing of Apples real intent. I don't believe Apple is willing or able to provide support for the hundreds of OEM and millions of hardware combinations that anyone could build to run OSX. No, Apple will continue to produce the Mac with its interesting and powerful OS on its own controllable hardware platform though powered by an Intel chip. My only question is will it have 'Intel Inside' on the box?
