You have to check out GlobeXplorer if you want really good satellite images! It's not quite as convenient as Google's (it's not tied to street maps in the same way) and it's annoyingly watermarked (because they want you to buy the picture), but it has a much higher level of detail.
That is so cool! I went to our house, and I think I could make out the neighbor's pool but not ours. Then I tried to find First Baptist. I really like the smooth scrolling when you want to move the map north, south, east or west. Now I will try to find our house on Globe Xplorer
