Okay, I'm new to this whole "epic movies reduced to comics thing" -- I didn't get the Animatrix, and I don't get this one. Is it supposed to be pathetically bad, or was not what they intended?
(I suppose it's not that bad, aside from the bad animation and bad voice acting...)
In the end, I am sure it is just another attempt to capitialize on new revenues ala advertising, toys, etc.
Yes, there are toys based on what you refer to as bad animation.
Actually, the animation is based on a popular series called 'Samurai Jack' which is even more ugly. So can it be bad animation if it is a stylistic/artisc approach?
In the end, I enjoy it because, it fills the gapping holes in the new trilogy that are left due to a story which is to large for 3 two hour movies or poorly conceived to begin with.
